To provide guest accommodation remote from the existing house with space for a studio, carport and garage.
With the variety of uses, a series of three linked buildings following the entrance drive was chosen. Stepping down the slope, two of these pavilions were connected with a stair and bridge at first floor level.
The untreated cedar cladding together with the corrugated iron roof give the building a traditional yet contemporary quality.
Built under the overhang of a huge fig tree the buildings have become part of the landscape.
